Senior Authorised Person (up to 11 kV) - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Base Salary: Up to £63,000 for a 37-hour week, depending on experience

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our field-based team, with a hub located in Southampton. You will work across the Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Sussex regions, engaging in an exciting range of HV projects with private network customers such as hospitals, supermarkets, petrochemical facilities, educational institutions, docks, and various businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage small project construction and asset replacement projects on private networks.
• Plan outages, produce switching programs, and liaise with System Control.
• Make dead, isolate, and earth high voltage electrical networks.
• Identify and release apparatus to be worked on by issuing Safety Documents and Permits to Work, SFT.
• Conduct high voltage testing and fault location.
• Supervise and manage Jointer and Fitter teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Experienced SAP on HV systems, ideally with DNO Authorisation to 11kV with Sanction for Test.
• Authorization to work on 11kV networks. (33kV training available if required)
• Good knowledge of a wide range of High Voltage plant and equipment
• Previous experience working on HV DNO/private networks
• Demonstrable working knowledge of High Voltage Protection Relays, Telecontrol Systems, and wiring and schematic diagrams
• Experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Proven track record in the electrical contracting industry, either as an Engineer or Contracts Supervisor with supervisory experience.
• Full UK driving license is essential.

Additional Information:

• Expectation to support the team cover a call-out rota (additional pay) on a 1 in 4 weekly basis.
