  • Contract type: Temporary (Full time)
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Duration: 6 months

The company:

A well-established Groundworks business that works across a mix of main contractor and developer projects throughout the UK

The role:

  • Ensuring your groundworks team is motivated and focused on achieving daily targets which are to be measured.
  • Ensuring the project has appropriate resources and equipment in advance to allow all team members to undertake their work each day.
  • Liaising with Contracts/Project Managers and the Site Manager to plan equipment delivery or removal from site.
  • Completing of high-risk reports, van and PPE checks and other H&S documentation as appropriate.
  • Ensuring all on site method statements and risk assessments are adhered to - RAMS. ·
  • Liaising with and maintaining a good working relationship with clients, surveyors, other sub- contractor project managers/supervisors as necessary to obtain variations/adaptions as appropriate.
  • Ensuring all groundworks are carried out under health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in-line with SG4:2013, CDM 2015, RAMS client specific guidelines ·

About you:

  • You will have all your own tools.
  • NVQ in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Good eye for detail and be able to foresee any potential issues with the design.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Be approachable and happy to work as point of contact when working in a standalone position.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
