We are looking to build upon the digital and technical capabilities of our unique Digital, Information and Technology Shared Service, to deliver technical expertise and innovation across the City of London Corporation, City of London Police and London Councils. As part of our push to expand our security function, we are looking to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Engineer.
This green field opportunity will allow you to show off all of your skills and expertise in a dynamic and stimulating environment. Working aligned with best practice, alongside collaboration across the City of London and its institutions, key partners and 3rd parties.
Core Skills
The successful candidate should have the following:

Experience in working with a SIEM solution, investigating identified threats and implementing appropriate remediations.

Understanding of vulnerability management reports and remediations. Ability to prioritise corrective actions and manage completion of remediation.

Cyber security incidents response experience.

Excellent communication skills, ability to network and work collaboratively with operations and technical teams.

High level skill and ability in the use of information security best practice and methodology to meet business critical service levels.

Stakeholder management at all levels with internal and external partners with the proven experience of developing strong relationships across organisation boundaries.

Detailed knowledge of multiple technologies encompassing cloud, storage and compute Virtualisation, Microsoft Technology Stack, Network (WAN & LAN), Mobile, Security (end point, through to externally facing website, Firewall and gateway infrastructure).

Sound understanding of, and capability to work within, relevant ICT related standards including ITIL, ISO/IEC 38500, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 22301, ISO/IEC 20000, PRINCE2 and MSP (AIT)

Existing clearance, or an ability to pass SC/NPPV3 security clearance.
