Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to work at a secondary school in Hull, starting 2nd September 2024 and lasting until at least December 2024. This is a temporary position, and is booked due to funding, but has the precedent to keep running into the new year (2025). Payment for this position will be between £90 and £105 per day depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve working within the specialist SEND department within the school, supporting students with complex needs. Ideally the school are looking for a candidate who has experience working within students with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Experience within the care sector is also transferrable for this position.

Located in Hull, the school is easy to access from most areas of Hull on the bus and via bike. There is a large onsite car park that is free to use for candidates who do drive. The school has a fantastic reputation within the local community, and treats their temporary staff extremely well. The head of the SEND department is fantastic and will support with all queries and development areas. The school puts candidates through rigorous training to ensure that they are fully supported and are equip for the role.

• Have experience working within schools in the UK.
• Has experience supporting within UK schools
• Has experience working as a teaching assistant
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the full CV History
• Legal right to work in the UK
