I am looking to speak to Quantity Surveyors to be based at my clients Yorkshire office. My client handles projects for the public and private sectors. These include housing, leisure, commercial, industrial and retail across the Northeast and Yorkshire.


Salary: £40,000 + Car Package


Overview: Seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join my clients Yorkshire team. Specializing in house building, roads, sewers, and groundwork projects, youll ensure our projects are financially efficient and sustainable.


Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Management: Control project budgets and costs.
• Tendering and Procurement: Prepare and evaluate tender documents.
• Contract Management: Administer contracts and manage disputes.
• Valuations: Conduct work valuations and arrange payments.
• Cost Reporting: Prepare cost reports and financial statements.
• Project Liaison: Coordinate with project teams and clients.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Variation Management: Handle project variations.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and company standards.


Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience: 3-5 years in construction/civil engineering, with a focus on relevant projects.
• Skills: Analytical, numerical, strong knowledge of construction, proficient in software, and good communication.
• Certification: RICS or CIOB membership is desirable.
