Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Height Safety Lead Engineer to install, test, and maintain roof access safety systems. The successful candidate will work with top-tier equipment like Latchways and Capital Safety Systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver various working-at-height projects according to job specifications.
  • Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety regulations.
  • Analyze and resolve mechanical/technical problems efficiently.
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks.
  • Accurately complete all PDA works promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Maintain and care for all company equipment and materials.
  • Uphold a professional company image with corporate clothing and a clean company van.

Key Challenges:

  • You'll work across the UK in a role that demands physical fitness and a strong commitment to safety. This is a labour-intensive position that involves working at heights.

Role Dimensions:

  • Individual contributor role representing our company and brand.
  • National role with periodic travel and time away from home.
  • Set high standards in all elements of the testing process.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in fall protection and working at heights.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills with risk management experience.
  • Skilled in installing roof access safety systems such as Latchways, Capital Safety systems, abseil anchors, davit systems, handrails, and eye-bolts.
  • Team player with a flexible, dynamic approach.
  • Full valid driving license essential.
  • Experience in team supervision or management with a track record of providing training and coaching.
  • Engineering/installation background with proficiency in using small hand tools and battery-operated tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Customer-focused with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledgeable in work at height PPE and associated equipment.
