As a Project Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of the vehicle line platform team, driving the success of vehicle projects from concept to series production. Your role is pivotal in meeting cost, quality, and timing objectives. You'll proactively plan and execute tasks to support project phases and ensure seamless integration across all departments.

Project Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Plan, measure, and report on the progress of new product projects and platforms, ensuring targets for cost, time, and quality are met.
  • Communication Hub: Act as the central point of project information, facilitating communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
  • Progress Monitoring: Integrate with stakeholders to track and report project status, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Schedule Management: Use the master schedule to monitor project activity timing, preparing for project checkpoints and gateway events.
  • Financial Oversight: Support stakeholders in defining and achieving cost targets, maintaining project finance information.
  • Documentation: Maintain the product development letter (PDL), requesting and publishing stakeholder information based on milestone criteria.
  • Change Management: Define product change content, ensuring alignment with the PDL and Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Engineering Coordination: Plan and track the engineering release timing schedule, coordinating reviews with each engineering commodity group.
  • BoM Support: Assist the BoM engineer in reviewing and reporting the product BoM status.

Project Coordinator requirements:

  • Educational Background: Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience: Previous work in engineering, project management, or new product delivery functions.
  • Process Knowledge: Understanding of the product flow process from concept to delivery.
  • Planning Skills: Experience in generating timing plans and tracking project progress.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with all departments and seniority levels.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent user of all office software.
