Application Security Engineer
Location: Dublin
Salary: €75-80k p/a plus benefits
I'm seeking to hire an experienced Application Security Engineer on behalf of my Dublin-based client. You will work with the software engineering department to design and implement security controls and protect applications from security threats.
Duties:
- Reviewing code to outline security flaws and design weaknesses
- Developing and implementing security testing tools to improve the efficiency of security assessments
- Working alongside the development team and architects to implement security controls into application designs
- Carrying out application security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks
- Performing dynamic application testing and manual code reviews
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar application security role, with experience of working directly with software development teams
- Strong understanding of application security principles and common vulnerabilities
- Good understanding of the secure software development lifecycle
- Experience of working in public cloud environments (GCP, Azure & AWS)
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP and NIST
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java and .NET
