Based: Brentwood Area
Hybrid: 5 days a week in office
Offer: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE
We are seeking a proactive estimator to join a tight-knit construction company. The candidate would be working alongside the director from the preconstruction phase through to practical completion. The company specialises in the residential and commercial sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce take-off and quantities for quotations, bids and tenders
- Review tender information and compile trade-specific packages to be priced by the supply chain
- Monitor project cost during the construction phase and track variances
- Identifying value engineering options to create commercial advantage
- Balance multiple proposals and estimations simultaneously
The ideal candidate
- Open to candidates with estimator and quantity surveyor backgrounds.
- Essential experience in managing packages, specifically drylining and carpentry trades.
- A candidate with 2-5 years of experience in a similar role and internal package experience is required. We are seeking a candidate who is keen to learn and grow with the company and has the potential to form a team as the company expands.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam.
