Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: South East London 

Salary: £60,000 to £95,000 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a building services company based in South East London. 

The ideal candidate would be someone that has an in-depth background within Mechanical design and development for the building services sector and will have experience on the projects side of things – project management, scheduling, pricing and contracts.

The company are open to candidates with a background just in Mechanical Design but if you have projects experience like mentioned in this advert, this would be the icing on the cake!

What they’re looking for:

• Experienced Design Engineer within Mechanical Building Services
• CAD experience – AutoCAD or others are fine 
• Commercial design experience 
• Experience of project scheduling and planning
• Project pricing and budgeting
• Contracts management would be a bonus
• Any Electrical experience would be a bonus

Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Working with the Directors and Engineering team, creating designs to keep within project plans 
• Using various CAD packages for design and development
• Project planning and scheduling to ensure budgets are met and work is done within timeframes
• Cost analysis including creating price points to maximise revenue
• Contracts management will either be something you have done, or you can be trained to do
• Create work schedules and write up pre-contracts
