Associate Product Manager

  • The Product Manager is responsible for the company’s product portfolio from “cradle to grave”, and, as our client is a company that designs and manufactures its own products, you will grow to become a key part of new product development from an initial idea to the future discontinuation of the product. 

  • Product managers need to have a deep commercial and technical understanding

of their products, market trends, understand the needs of the customers that will buy them and the vertical markets and applications where they will be used.

  • This is an entry level role in the product team and requires someone who has an ability to solve complex problems and think strategically in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment. When we develop our products, user experience and future technology is always key to the success of our business. Next to working with technical challenges you will work closely with cross- functional teams, to create sales tools and collateral, develop launch plans, conduct market and competitive analysis, and help to create and develop the product roadmap.

  • You will be reporting to the Group Product manager and be part of a wider team that works on cutting edge video technology involving both software and hardware development. The position sits within the signal processing area of the business.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct regular market and competitor product mapping and report back to

management to make informed decisions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners to understand requirements.

  • Translate this understanding of consumer segments into clear value props, messaging, and marketing claims that communicate our value.

  • Together with the Group Product Manager, generate new ideas that deliver new

  • products, grow market share, improve customer experience and drive profit & growth.

  • Attend sprint reviews and follow up on action points. 

  • Review products and conduct demos and contribute to the development of our go to

  • market strategy. 

  • Assist with the planning, set-up and attendance of trade shows and other events. 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Business

Marketing or first hand equivalent experience in a related field. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to work with and often direct cross-functional teams. 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and self-directed with a strong work ethic.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Preferable to have an understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps or equivalent. 

  • Ability to see problems and solutions from multiple angles.

  • Strong time management skills: demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-

  • paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to travel globally, but specifically across the UK, Europe and US
