Compliance Assistant

Salary/Rate:
£26,000 - £28,000/annum

Our client operates within the legal services sector and has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Assistant to join their Compliance Team. This role will play a pivotal function in providing exceptional support to all employees, ensuring unparalleled levels of service.  This role is working full-time and is office based.

This role is crucial to the success of the Compliance Team who have a demanding workload. This means that you must be able to handle pressure and be able to prioritise your daily workload.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of:
    • Compliance registers
    • Employee Manual and Policies
    • Risk Management Procedures
    • Anti-Money Laundering procedures
    • Compliance training
    • Lexcel accreditation and reviews
  • Co-ordinate quarterly file audits with the firm’s Quality Managers
  • Assist with ensuring compliance plan is updated periodically
  • Assist with the development of the firm’s Corporate/social responsibility plan
  • Data Protection and GDPR
  • Other compliance matters

Additional requirements of this role:

  • To assist with other administrative tasks for the firm
  • Comply and ensure adherence to internal audit requirements (and external client/agency requirements)
  • Process instructions in accordance with established procedures of both good practice and the firm’s quality system

Experience:

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the SRA standards and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
