We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join an equipment manufacturer as part of their skilled close-knit team based in Stockport.

This role not only demands technical proficiency but also offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel to client sites for installations, and uphold the team’s commitment to delivering top-notch equipment.

What’s on offer?

• £15 - £17 per hour
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm / Friday 2:30pm finish

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

• Successfully completing projects and following instructions from management
• Utilising static machinery, battery-powered tools including drills, and general hand tools
• Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company
• Occasionally travelling to work at client sites across the UK to fit and install the products
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on machinery when required

What do you need?

• Apprentice trained preferred
• Previous mechanical assembly and fitting experience
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Previous experience with the food or pharmaceutical industries advantageous
