Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 07.30am till 4.00pm and will need to be available once fully trained 06.30am till 3.00pm, overtime available.

Pay Rate: £12.00ph to £12.50ph

We are working in partnership with a fantastic, growing manufacturing company who are based in Oldbury. We are seeking a Press brake/ Turret Punch Press machine operator to join their production team on a temp to perm basis.
As a Press Brake/ Turet Punch Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape 3M trunking. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with precision and you will need to be physically fit.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings and production requirements
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings for each job
- Position and secure sheet metal onto the machine bed using clamps or other holding devices
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of bends
- Inspect finished parts for defects or imperfections
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Proficient in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and characteristics
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machine issues
- Familiarity with different types of tooling used in press brake operations.
