Key Responsibilities – Principal Design Engineer

• You will successfully deliver; Transmission & Distribution protection and control systems with end-customers from various domains & disciplines.
• You will provide pre-sales support to our sales and proposal teams and support the project manager and commercial team to deliver projects on target and within scope.
• Provide innovative solutions as technical lead for protection and control on UK Transmission and Distribution network.
• Ensure that solutions are compliant with the latest policies and standards.
• Provide a high level of customer service to clients and maintain the highest standards of quality.
• Sound problem solving skills, fault finding skills and analytical thinking.
• Provide technical input for Sales and Proposals departments.

Key skills and experience – Principal Design Engineer

• Experience of National Grid delivery and specifications/standards are essential.
• A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering plus extensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry
