The Company
360 Recruitment are currently working with a leading construction main contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced site engineer with their own robotic equipment (One Man Kit), Laptop with autocad and up to date calibration for a 52 week (minimum) project in Leicester, LE1 which commences on or around the 15th July 2024. The successful candidate will be working for a modern, forward thinking business that believes the strengths, skills and personalities of their people are the key to the Company's success.

They are a respected Company and have built themselves an enviable reputation within the construction industry offering excellent opportunities.  The works include looking after all structural brickwork, internal and external, the envelope of the building window etc, the building is just coming out the ground.

The freelance Site Engineer Role

Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager and site based Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the site engineer's duties on a daily basis for the project.

Previous experience of site engineering on construction new build sites including structural brickwork, internal and external, the envelope of the building window etc would be beneficial. 

Experience of working as an Assistant Site Manager in addition to working as a Site Engineer would also be beneficial.

SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid certificates would be beneficial.


Duties include:

Setting out of works inc structural brickwork, internal and external, the envelope of the building window etc
Carrying out surveys – as builts
Working as part of the site team and liaising with site management and QS and consultants/design team
Quality management of works on site and accurate keeping of records/surveys 
Provide technical advice to the site team
Ensuring construction on site is as per drawings and spec
Assisting in the management of Health and Safety
Overseeing packages of works on site i.e groundworks, steel erection.
Assisting the Project Manager with site managerial duties when required


Skills:

CSCS (essential)
SMSTS (benefiial)
1st Aid at Work (beneficial)
AutoCAD trained
Trained in the use of Total Station and engineering equipment.
Temporary works training


The freelance Site Engineer Package

On offer is an attractive day rate of up to £380 for a site engineer with their own kit DOE.
