Finance Assistant

Location: Hull, HU9 1DN
Salary: £27,500 per annum
Contract: Full time, FTC – Maternity Cover, possibility of permanent role

We are now recruiting for a Finance Assistant, reporting to the Financial Controller to provide full support throughout our entire finance function!

In addition to this as our Finance Assistant you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage day to day finance activities as designated by the Financial Controller.
  • Undertake payroll activities.
  • Check Monthly Time sheets are correct and inputted onto the Sage IT system.
  • Create and upload monthly pensions spreadsheet.
  • Create and record monthly sales invoices on the Sage IT system.
  • Record purchase ledger invoices on the Sage IT system.
  • Purchase Ledger reconciliations.
  • Petty Cash – Record monthly petty cash transactions on Excel to upload on to the Sage IT system.
  • Undertake banking duties as designated by the Financial Controller.

You will also be occasionally responsible for:

  • PA Support – Update monthly performance review figures and distribute to management as necessary.
  • Reception – Provide support to Reception during lunch period and absence when required.

In order to be successful in this role you must have experience with:

  • Payroll, this is absolutely essential.
  • A Sage software system.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an accounts department.
