My client in is looking is looking for an experienced social worker to join this Kinship Assessment team

Suitable candidates must have a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.


Working arrangements involve both working from home and office-based 1-2 days a week.


This is a post in the Permanency, Assessment and Support Team with responsibility for undertaking kinship assessments which include both viability and full assessments. The post holder will also be required to provide support to families in kinship arrangements both pre and post placement of a child. In addition to completing assessment reports for court, the role will also entail presenting cases to the Permanency Panel for approval of kinship carers where applicable.

The ideal candidate will have experience completing kinship/ SGO assessments and working with families in kinship arrangements. Experience of completing fostering/Form F assessments will also be considered. Candidates should have good knowledge and understanding of SGO and Fostering Regulations as well as National Minimum Standards.
