Escape Recruitment are Recruiting a Field Service Engineer to work as part of a team for our client who are a Family run business based in The Glasgow area. Role will cover the whole of Scotland.

You will be required to diagnose both electrical and mechanical faults and carry out necessary remedial repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of diesel engine makes.

Your role will involve assisting Field Service Engineers in the safe handling, disassembly, and cleaning of dirty and used components, and then inspection, new parts identification, and assisting in the reassembly of mainly engines, transmissions, axles, and transfer cases, to the high standards demanded of an OEM distributorship on selected supported products.

Part of the role will be the diagnosis and repair of failed units, therefore a degree of mechanical and electronic understanding is required combined with the desire to develop troubleshooting skills as a priority.

The Field service Engineer will manager their own Diary from home, Jobs are posted 5 days in advance to allow you plan longer journeys. Your core hours of work will be 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 3:30pm on a Friday. If travel or the job takes you over these hours then you will be paid additional hours at an overtime rate. Basic salary is up to £38k DOE
