Overview:
Our client, a multimillion-pound corporation, is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong understanding of digital transformation principles and best practices, experience in implementing digital platforms, and knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and cybersecurity.
This is a 9 month rolling contract, 3 days onsite at their offices paying between £450 to £500 PD Inside IR 35 to start ASAP on 9 month rolling contract to be based in Morden, Greater London.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Digital Transformation: Apply best practices and principles in digital transformation.
- Platform Implementation: Implement and manage digital platforms.
- Data Privacy & Cybersecurity: Ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and maintain cybersecurity.
- System Integration: Integrate various IT systems and platforms using API management and middleware.
- Problem-Solving: Address technical issues and bottlenecks effectively.
- Project Management: Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets with tools like MS Project, JIRA, and Trello. Utilize Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Multi-Project Management: Deliver multiple projects under a Digital PMO, reporting to senior leaders.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
- Change Management: Manage organizational change, including training and support for end-users.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and user expectations through testing and performance evaluation.
- Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and build consensus.
- Communication: Convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and maintain project documentation.
- Adaptability: Adapt to changing requirements and align project goals with business units and local authority objectives.
- Local Government Knowledge: Understand local government operations, policies, regulations, and procurement processes. Implement systems supporting various public sector services.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of digital transformation principles and best practices.
- Experience in implementing digital platforms.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in integrating IT systems and platforms.
- Knowledge of API management and middleware.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience delivering projects under a Digital PMO.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Quality assurance and testing experience.
- Leadership and team motivation skills.
- Familiarity with local government structures and operations.
- Understanding of public sector policies and procurement processes.
- Experience implementing systems for various public sector services.
Contract Details:
- £450 - £500 per day Inside IR35
- Hybrid working - 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH
- 9 month intial contract
