£47 500 - £57 500 Depending on experience and qualifications + BONUS

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and determined Registered Manager for our new 6 bed children’s home based in Swindon. 

Our successful candidate will who know how to make a house, a home. With your guidance, the team will ensure that the children living within the home have the very best care, great role models and a place to call home. Our Children and Young people are aged between 5-18 years old with Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Complex needs.

This position has lots of scope and potential to become Regional Manager and Net-Equity holder in the company within 2 years.

Registered Manager Skills and abilities

·       Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.

·       Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies.

·       Ability to solve problems.

·       Able to work within the principles of the Children’s Act…

·       Ability to exercise authority.

·       Proven leadership and management abilities.

·       Can evidence experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams

·       Excellent communication skills – both verbally and written.

·       Be able to demonstrate auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skills

Registered Manager knowledge and experience.

·       At least 2 years as a Registered Manager in a Residential Children’s Home.                                                                                                 

·       Experience working with Children who have Mental Health, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties                                                                      

·       Have a very good understanding of the children’s homes regulations and quality standards, 2015                                                                     

·       Can evidence knowledge of Reg 44 and Reg 45 reporting.                                                                                                          

·       Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes procedures and relevant issues.                                                                                                  

·       Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.                                                                                        

·       Can demonstrate how to develop a staff team to ensure they have clear vision and goals.                                                                                 

·       Has a good working knowledge of Children’s homes regulations and the Social care common inspection framework.

·       Have good knowledge and experience working as a designated safeguarding lead in children’s residential home (s)

Registered Manager qualifications

·       Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)                                                                                                                            

·       Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services Or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Children’s Pathway) 

·      Hold British Driving Licence
