Overview

Working for a leading UK healthcare organization, this multifaceted and rewarding role for a Registered Service Manager is one not to be missed. Working out of a specialist rehabilitation centre, the position involves supporting an MDY in their care of service users with ABI, committed to delivering impeccable patient-centred care.

Main Purpose

  • Leadership and Management: Provide professional leadership and hands-on management support, guiding staff activities and shaping their practices and attitudes.
  • Line Management: Oversee the senior management team and lead clinicians, offering operational support and direction to ensure performance standards are identified and met.
  • Financial Oversight: Set and monitor budgets, including capital and revenue, within the location.
  • HR Responsibilities: Manage recruitment, employment, and working practices, ensuring compliance with Employment Law and contractual obligations. This includes providing induction, training, and support in alignment with statutory responsibilities and organizational values and high-performance standards.
  • Service Management: Actively participate in the Service Management group, occasionally taking on additional responsibilities related to investigations, disciplinary/grievance hearings, and management support for other services.
  • Customer Responsiveness: Promote exceptional customer responsiveness throughout the service to all stakeholders, including service users, families, purchasers, referrers, and professional partners. This may require additional hours or overnight stays.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement an annual business development plan to support the management and growth of existing and new service provisions.
  • Ambassadorship: Represent the organization at conferences and marketing opportunities.
  • On-Call Management: Lead the provision and management of on-call systems for the location, including out-of-hours management support for the team.
  • Service User Engagement: Ensure all service users are involved in their assessments, support plans, person-centered plans, and ongoing reviews.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial accounting systems at the location, including both organizational and service user finances.
  • Health and Welfare: Ensure the health, welfare, and safeguarding needs of all individuals are met in line with legislation.
  • Review Process Leadership: Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to lead the review process, ensuring professional standards in review reports and timely collation. Chair review meetings as needed and facilitate service user involvement at all levels.
  • Empowerment and Independence: Lead teams to empower service users in pursuing educational and vocational goals, supporting their lifelong learning, independence, aspirations, and quality of life.

About You

  • Experience: Proven experience and understanding of high-quality residential service delivery.
  • Registered Manager: Must have been a registered manager.
  • Qualifications: A QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets and financial systems.
  • HR Expertise: Experience with disciplinary/grievance procedures and managing poor performance issues in line with policy and procedure.
  • Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize workload to meet specified deadlines.
