Project Manager / Site Manager
Location: Manchester Airport, Terminal based
The Client:
Our client is experiencing significant growth resulting in a new requirement for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join their team at Manchester Airport.
Established in 2001, they offer a unique range of services in airport logistics.
The successful candidate will have a background in commercial projects, including strip out & install experience. Any construction / project delivery experience in the aviation industry would be desired, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and responsibility for airside projects.
- Project self-delivery as well as working in collaboration with other departments and project managers.
- Strong communication skills, directly with the client and third parties in relation to projects under your control.
- Attend and represent the business in all client meetings relating to your project.
- Assisting in site set-up at start of project.
- Procurement of materials / supplies.
- Ensuring site H&S is kept to the highest standard.
- Managing the team, regular communication with all direct reports, senior management, mentoring, training and identifying development opportunities.
- Temporary Works Coordinator – Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a temporary works coordinator and carrying out this role with all documentation, planning and evidence recorded.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of works in line with scope.
- Assisting in managing project commercials, ensuring the client remain in budget and anything outside of scope is communicated and applied for correctly.
- Obtain all permits, approvals, and necessary agreements for works.
- Support the commercial management and construction manager with tender packages, surveys and cost saving efficiencies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the airside project sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Generate leads and convert them into profitable projects.
Essential:
- Commercial projects background. Strip out & install experience.
- CSCS Black card
- NVQ L6
- SMSTS
- Temporary Works co-ordinator
- Full UK driving license
- IT Literate (Word – Excel - PowerPoint)
Desirable:
- Aviation project experience
- IOSHH
Salary: Up to £55k + company car + excellent benefits
