If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated Senior Male Therapeutic Support Worker to join our client's team, providing exceptional care and leadership in a residential home setting.

Our mission is to deliver outstanding care that promotes independence, dignity, and a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed Senior Male Therapeutic Support Worker to help us achieve this mission in our small residential home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shifts and supervise junior staff members.
  • Undertake delegated management responsibilities regularly.
  • Support the emotional needs of young people.
  • Organize and participate in appropriate activities for residents.
  • Perform personal care and domestic duties, including laundry, cooking, and shopping.
  • Transport young people to appointments and activities.
  • Support and supervise young people in developing life skills, key skills, and independence both at home and in the community.
  • Assist young people in accordance with their personal/pathway/placement plans and organisational policies.
  • Conduct weekly key worker sessions with assigned young people and document and share these sessions with them.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally supporting young people.
  • Hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Strong motivational, management, and leadership abilities to support and develop a cohesive team of Residential Support Workers.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of child care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
  • Experience working with young people exhibiting challenging behavior.
  • Ability to empathise with young people and a commitment to high standards of child care, aiming for the best outcomes for those in your care.
