Based in Milton Keynes with a world class team, they have already proven the technology in a highly competitive landscape. They’re currently scaling the business up to become the market leading provider and have an exciting opportunity for a creative, energetic and forward-thinking marketing specialist to join their growing team.

The role would be a great opportunity for someone with an interest in marketing and, 3D design with a passion for content marketing and social media including hands-on creative writing, graphics and video creation. 

Job Role Details

Our client are on a mission to change the landscape of learning through virtual solutions. They want to give everyone the opportunity to develop and learn skills in a safe and practical environment.

They are a team of world recognised experts in the fields of Mixed Reality, Education, Technology and Industry. They form consortia with educational and industry partners to develop advanced and immersive, VR / VE / AR digital learning programs. Their programs improve learners’ knowledge, increase pass-rates, reduces consumable and training costs. Their customers tell us this technology will change the face of education.

Whilst only two years old, their business model was proven with an exit from one of the co-founders and they’re doing it again – this time in a post Covid world where the education and learner market are desperate for the next level in on-line learning! So far the growth and trajectory are beating expectation and building a solid and exciting foundation of products with an ever growing customer base.

Much of the team have worked together for over 10 years and reassembled after launching the business. As such they are committed to the team’s wellbeing and development and support them in a family like culture.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll help develop their existing key accounts with collateral and events whilst building a pipeline of new opportunities for the sales team.

You'll use your expertise and passion for the company to manage social acquisition channels and leverage data to achieve results. You’ll build early-stage brand presence through finding relevant events, launching campaigns and generating PR and will own the go to market plan to help drive acquisition and growth into new sectors.

You’ll manage the B2B acquisition channels testing and scaling and:

  • create and manage email outbound campaigns
  • optimise channels in order to always improve the performance of the business
  • drive traffic & conversions to website, landing pages, social media
  • you’ll own the Sales toolkit (sales narrative, sales collateral, site content) and manage the CRM
  • create or change processes as needed, aligning with sales
  • align & choose, in accordance with cross functional priorities, which metrics/KPIs to focus on
  • provide regular reporting on the performance of marketing channels and create case studies with colleges and partners.

Person Specification

Personal qualities:

  • An effective communicator both verbally and in writing, and able to build lasting
  • Experience in marketing roles, with focus on B2B experience, ideally within the education (and even better – further education) and enterprise technology sectors. Leading with creativity and systematic with planning and implementation.
  • Experience developing growth-driving marketing strategies, based on genuine customer, competitor and industry insight.
  • Adept at managing all digital channels, social performance, email, SEO/SEM, PR, events and all forms of media to drive awareness, user demand and conversion.
  • Data-driven with a clear understanding of how to balance analytical acumen with research and customer insights.
  • Confident communicator at multiple organisational levels including C-level and external stakeholders.
  • A strong collaborator working closely with other functional leads to drive the business forward.
  • An agile player who can confidently navigate the start-up high pace across multiple functions through change and transformation in a fast-growing organisation.
  • A strong network of commercial leaders to share experiences and sense check ideas and opportunities.
  • Passionate about building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster effective collaboration.

  • Detail orientated and organised with the ability to be able to handle a varied workload
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to ever changing tasks in an agile manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident with using Microsoft office
  • Must be able to apply basic marketing principles with standard digital etiquette and the understanding of security levels required to protect data across digital and social media platforms
  • Any experience in creating graphics and videos would be an added benefit but not essential e.g. Adobe suites (or similar editing software), Hootsuite skills are a bonus
  • A team player who cares for the collective success as well as your own.
