Junior/Trainee Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a Junior/Trainee Field Service Engineer to diagnose, service, and repair industrial machinery. You will ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets Service Level Agreements, delivering excellent customer satisfaction. Full training will be provided, with the chance to obtain formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer support through courteous and knowledgeable communication.
- Complete repairs within contracted service level agreements.
- Follow up on repairs promptly when additional parts are ordered.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and Portable Appliance Test (PA Test) calls on time.
- Maintain high standards in service and repair of machinery.
- Update job statuses in real-time using SSP's.
- Provide detailed reports after each site visit to maintain asset data integrity.
- Order parts via the system for breakdown repairs.
- Manage van stock levels by booking parts in/out and ensuring proper replenishment.
- Assist in improving work systems and adapting to changes.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable.
- Attend company service and business review meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven interest/experience in mechanical repair/maintenance required
- Some experience in mechanical maintenance (formal qualifications not required).
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license.
