About the Role:

As a Teacher of DT, you will be instrumental in inspiring students to explore the world of design, technology, and engineering. Your role will involve:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level in the future.
  • Developing and implementing creative schemes of work that challenge and engage students.
  • Encouraging practical skills and theoretical understanding through hands-on projects and activities.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and setting achievable targets.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is committed to educational excellence and innovation. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in secondary education.
  • A thorough understanding of the current DT curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
