Our client is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker for a service based in Kidderminster. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with administering medication.
  • Supporting individuals with maintaining their home and tenancy, ensuring the environment is safe.
  • Planning and organising stimulating activities to promote social engagement and personal development.
  • Offering support with finance management, including budgeting and bill payments.
  • Assisting individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal planning, and household chores.
  • Implementing sensory diets as part of individualised care plans.
  • Effectively managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions and learning disabilities.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work flexibly on a rota basis covering a combination of early shifts (7am to 3pm) and late shifts (3pm to 10pm).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach towards supporting individuals with diverse needs.
