Based in Greater Manchester, our client is a leading homewares supplier with a great reputation! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join the team, to be responsible for both raw and finished goods.
Day to day in the position of Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Coaching and leading a high performing team to ensure best practise is shared, deadlines and targets are met and relationships are where they need to be
- Establish and maintain mutually beneficial supplier relationships, being responsible for cost and volume negotiations for both raw and finished goods
- Regular strategic review of suppliers to consider risk mitigation
- Collaborate with the NPD team to ensure product/range selection is both quality led and competitive in the market
- Manage cost and availability of shipping containers
To be considered for the role of Senior Buyer, you will offer the following:
- Sound knowledge of Far East sourcing and examples of successful supplier negotiations
- Examples of coaching and leading a small team
- Examples of sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A driving licence is required
