Rate:                      £20-25.50 per hour

Summary
  
The Project Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing and gathering of information necessary to establish viability of new heating systems in 5 communal blocks of flats and PV installation in one sheltered scheme. The role will be required to support in the production of Tender documents and work with consultants and contractors to manage the works and all associated regulations and statutory requirements for the project through to completion.
  
The project must be delivered by 31st March 2025, so ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and have knowledge of specifications and tendering of heating systems and PV is required. The focus of the role is to provide support to the Decarbonisation Consultant over 3-6 month period. In addition, other tasks will include supporting the Net Zero Campaign by providing information gathered as part of the project, ensuring completion of customer satisfaction and the ability to clearly write regularly updated reports on position will be required.
  
Specification
  • Relevant professional qualification in Construction e.g. HNC/HND, BSc degree or equivalent or comparable through experience in work related to the role.
  • Experience of delivering planned programmes of work
  • Experience and Knowledge of decarbonisation and ORP within the Welsh Housing sector
  • Evidenced experience of Health and Safety legislation and operational working practices relating to construction and maintenance works.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance and associated technical information.
  • Working knowledge of retrofit assessments, EPC’s.
  • Contract and procurement knowledge
  • Knowledge and understanding of the legal responsibilities and rights of landlords and tenants and the duties of statutory and other agencies under health and safety and tenancy law.
  • Understanding of what excellent customer service and tenant communication should look like in relation to maintenance services, including formal consultations relating to service chargeable activity.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and construct written reports in a logical and concise manner.
  • Confident at building effective relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
  • Possess a valid full driving licence for a car and have the use of a car each working day
