Sewell Wallis are currently working with a well-established company based near Huddersfield who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time permanent basis.

The role has become available due to internal promotion so it's a brilliant opportunity for someone to take on an Accounts Assistant role that will give them some exposure to management accounts. The team is close-knit so they're looking for somebody who is bright and able to get on well with their sociable team.

The ideal candidate will be confident with transactional finance and would have some exposure to accruals, prepayments and journals. This is desirable and not essential.

What will you be doing?

  • Dealing with supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Doing the weekly BACs run.
  • Petty cash.
  • Invoice processing.
  • Liaising with wider departments to resolve queries.
  • Supporting with the payroll process from end to end.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Solid experience within AP.
  • Some exposure to management accounts.
  • Sociable and outgoing in personality.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
