Quantity Surveyor

• Salary: £40,000-£45,000

We are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join a growing business in a newly created role as part of their Estimating Department.

They are an established manufacturing, installation, and service company. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to play a pivotal role in shaping the position and contributing to the development of the business

Day to Day of the role:

• Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate pricing and manage subcontract prices, invoices, and payments.
• Oversee variation pricing, completion, and invoicing.
• Liaise with clients and construction professionals, including site managers, project managers, and site engineers.
• Negotiate with clients and handle financial and legal issues.
• Measure and value completed work and raise detailed invoices.
• Complete monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), calculating accruals and work in progress.
• Track changes to design or site work, raising variations and adjusting budget projections as required.
• Establish and maintain cost forecasting tools to control actual costs against budget.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Quantity Surveying degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
