Position: Maternity Cover Classroom Teacher (Key Stage 2)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary, 1-year Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Duration: Approximately 12 months

About Us: An Aylesbury based Primary School is a dynamic and inclusive school that strives to provide an excellent education for all its pupils. They are a community-focused school with a strong emphasis on collaboration, creativity, and academic achievement. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) Classroom Teacher to cover maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS2.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes high standards of pupil achievement.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Differentiate teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupils' learning and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
  • Uphold the school's policies, procedures, and values, contributing positively to the school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Experience with specific subjects or initiatives relevant to KS2.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
