Role: Commercial Manager - Foodservice & B2B

Salary:  £60,000 - £65,000

Location: Lacock, Wiltshire

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week


We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our Egg Innovation Centre based at our facility in Wiltshire, Lacock.  You will be responsible for developing relations with UK’s largest distributors for the Foodservice and B2B market, growing market share and creating value for cooked egg products to these distributors.

We deliver daily from hen houses right across the country to the most exclusive restaurants and to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets, together with first class egg products to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver to a customer centric experience against the Chilled Egg strategy, working alongside a range of major UK supermarket retailers, other food manufacturers and foodservice with both branded and own-brand products.
  • Identify UK Foodservice Distributors, develop commercial plans to win and grow these accounts, meeting budgeted growth and profitability
  • Develop and expand B2B strategy & supply
  • Building customer and internal relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Delivering profitable growth for the account(s) over a sustained period
  • Accountable for ensuring commercial negotiations are aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Balance the customer requirements with those of the business to ensure both parties are maximising the relationship, including planning and coordinating price increases within the customer
  • Provide sales forecasts and input into demand plans
  • Driving visibility and accessibility of Stonegate products within assigned accounts

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Extensive, dedicated commercial experience within own label and branded food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of working with foodservice outlets such as restaurants & cafes as well developing B2B accounts
  • Experience of customer visits, audits and food quality audits such as BRC.
  • In-depth knowledge of negotiation strategies and risk/value analysis
  • Excellent understanding of policies and business processes on negotiating deals
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of negotiating with customers 
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
