Assistant Retail Store Manager

£26,300 per annum

Any 5 out of 7 days (Shift Rota)

Store Opening hours are 09:00-20:00 Monday-Friday, 09:00-19:00 Saturday and 11:00-17:00 Sunday.

Requirement to work outside these hours to facilitate daily opening and closing down.

Job Role:

• Support the store manager in the day to day running of the store.
• Assisting with the recruitment, training, and development of colleagues.
• Take accountability for shrinkage
• Administration of Maxtime, responding to emails & other basic admin.
• Ensuring you and others adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Cash and banking – completing in a timely manner whilst adhering to policies and procedures.
• Create a positive working environment for colleagues.
• Create a positive experience for all customers.
• Assisting and managing sales assistants to assist customers efficiently and politely.
• Assisting and managing sales assistants to ensure they are productive in the warehouse whilst maintaining cleanliness.
• Handling feedback, queries, and complaints from customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Policing visual merchandising and replenishment standards.
• Adhering to, and ensuring others adhere to loss prevention policies and procedures.

Technical Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Previous Supervisory / management experience working within a value retail or supermarket environment is essential
• Must be able to work to strict deadlines under pressure.
• Must be a strong communicator who can build relationships at all levels.
• Work both individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain a customer focused environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Leadership skills to motivate colleagues to deliver the best results possible
