Lead Maintenance Engineer

£42,500 - £45,000 + Bonus + Medical + Pension + Specialist Training + 33 Holidays + Days Only

Excellent opportunity for a maintenance engineer to get into the rapidly growing renewable energy industry with one of the UK's largest providers of Renewable Fuels.

This business owns and operates a large number of Biogas production facilities located throughout the UK, and off the back of a significant amount of investment they are now looking to construct, operate and maintain an ever-growing portfolio of similar sites to solidify their position as the leading Biogas producer not only in the UK but throughout Europe as a whole.

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site as well as overseeing a team of Plant Operators, and additionally supporting the Site Manager in the overall management of the plant.

The ideal candidate will come from a Maintenance Engineering background and will have experience working in a Process Plant environment such as in the Water or Chemicals industries, or alternatively will have demonstrable knowledge of Rotating Equipment such as Pumps. They will also need to have demonstrable experience in a leadership/supervisory position. Ex-Forces candidates such as those leaving the Navy are also strongly encouraged to apply.

The role:
* Responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance on site
* Overseeing a team of Plant Operators to ensure safe, efficient and reliable running of the site
* Planning works and reporting back to management concerning site status and works progress
* Liaising with Site Manager and inputting into higher-level management duties & decision making

The Person:
* Qualified Maintenance Engineer
* Process Plant experience e.g Water, Chemicals, Energy-from-Waste, Pharma, Gas, Oil, Waste etc.
* Ability to use maintenance management systems and interpret engineering drawings
* Comfortable with working at heights
* Previous leadership/supervisory experience
* Full UK driving license
