What will my responsibilities include?
- Organising die and tool storage and heating of dies in readiness for production.
- Undertaking fettling, painting of billets, and shot blasting duties.
- Carrying out repairs to dies and tools during production.
- Ensuring customer specifications are met by checking dimensions against process sheets or sketches.
- Conducting forge inspections.
- Branding and recording part and serial numbers or other required numbers.
- Cleaning pits and painting work areas as needed.
- Assisting with the successful introduction of new or modified parts.
- Adhering to all safety and quality processes and procedures.
- Inputting new programs and modifying existing programs on computer controls.
What skills and experience do I need?
- Previous knowledge of pendant crane operation, confined spaces, and abrasive wheels.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial or engineering environment.
- A flexible working attitude towards duties and hours.
- Strong adaptability, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A keen attention to detail.
- A quality and safety-focused attitude.
How much will I be paid?
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,200.00 per year
What will my working schedule be?
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. This will include morning and back shifts.
