Social Sciences Lecturer – Full Time Permanent
jjFOX is working with a well established Further Education College who have a vacancy for a Social Sciences Lecturer. They are looking to employ a member of staff on a Full Time Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching across Psychology & Criminology.
Package:
* Hours - Full Time, 37 hours x 52 weeks
* Salary - £23'830 - £36'821
* Contract - Full Time Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver high standards of teaching & learning while monitoring assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
- To deliver departmental requirements of core content that will support students to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- To deliver on Level 2 and 3 programmes in Forensics, Criminology & Psychology as required by the demands of the curriculum.
- To produce plans of learning, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact the effectiveness of learning.
- To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
- To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
- To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Relevant Degree
- Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification)
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
