Electronics Design Engineer

Overall Purpose of Job:
Continued design and upkeep of electronics and PCBs in the companies product range.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design of Digital and Analogue Electronics.
• To maintain the functionality of legacy products.
• To select electronics and auxiliaries to meet customer requirements.
Requirements:
• Knowledge and understanding of electronics design including digital, analogue, power, and high-temperature electronics.
• Good familiarity with signal conditioning.
• Experience of embedded microcontroller use and bare metal low level code for simple applications.
• Great understanding of Digital protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, CAN
• Comfortable with a wide range of activities from PCB design to prototype manufacture.
• Design testing, verification and validation of hardware and software.
• Cost and quality management.
Beneficial but non-essential:
• Embedded C, Assembly, Embedded C++ programming knowledge beneficial
• Any PLC/SCADA programming experience would be beneficial.
• General electrical and or electronic diagnostic experience
• Electrical wiring familiarity; specifically, familiarity with industrial motor wiring with experience of UL/CSA safety and CE approvals (Technical conformance file).
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
