About the opportunity
The Principal Calibration Engineer will be responsible for leading core calibration methods of Hybrid and Fully Electric Powertrains for a range of vehicles, with the aim of balancing performance, energy consumption, NVH and drivability.
You will be also be responsible for Supporting Control System and Software systems integration, optimisation of hybrid controllers & overall system performance and leading validation in dyno and real-world testing.

About the opportunity
The Principal Calibration Engineer will be responsible for leading core calibration methods of Hybrid and Fully Electric Powertrains for a range of vehicles, with the aim of balancing performance, energy consumption, NVH and drivability.
You will be also be responsible for Supporting Control System and Software systems integration, optimisation of hybrid controllers & overall system performance and leading validation in dyno and real-world testing.
Deliverables
- Develop Powertrain control algorithms in order to calibrate & integrate hybrid and electric powertrain systems
- Powertrain testing and calibration, including Energy Management, Automatic Transmission Control, Engine Control and Vehicle Systems (ABS ESP)
- Plan and execute testing activities, analyse data and report on findings
- Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferably 8 years' post-graduate experience in Powertrain or Vehicle industry with OEM or Tier1 supplier.
- Practical calibration experience in powertrain control, chassis, at vehicle or rig level testing.
- Powertrain testing and calibration, including Energy Management, Automatic Transmission Control, Engine Control and Vehicle Systems (ABS ESP)
- Automotive Calibration Tools (e.g., ETAS INCA/MDA, Vector products)
- Matlab / Simulink
- Vehicle and Powertrain Control Logic Development
