Welder / Fabricator
Due to expansion and growth permanent positions have arisen for Welder/ Fabricators . . Please note that the main base for this role will be South Norwood (South East London)
The Role:
Fabrication and Welding of Handrails, staircases, balustrades Extension Sleeves, Gate , railings, fences & more.
Working hours:
Dayshift 07:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday + Overtime
Rate of Pay: Day shift £19 per hour + enhanced rates for overtime
Primary Objectives
Welding and fabrication in workshop and site.
Working knowledge of architectural and structural welding/fabrication works and standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality. Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural fabrication works and standards.
· Act with honesty, integrity and accountability
· Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years’ experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:
· Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
· Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
· Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
· Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
· Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
· Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
