Navis Consulting have an exciting new opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join a multinational company who supply a portfolio of chemicals, coatings, adhesives, sealants and resins. The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and fostering strong relationships with key accounts within the Marine sector. This role is instrumental in providing technical expertise, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions. By effectively managing key accounts and collaborating with internal teams, the Key Account Manager ensures customer satisfaction, identifies opportunities for expansion, and contributes to the overall success of the company in the Marine industry.

Skills required:

  • Technical Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval architecture, Chemistry, or a related field is required (Master's degree preferred). You should have a solid technical foundation and a strong understanding of Marine coatings, adhesives, sealants, and related products.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales or account management within the Marine industry. Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts and achieving sales targets is essential.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs. You should have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to effectively engage with customers and deliver exceptional service.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address customer needs and overcome technical challenges are essential for success in this role.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated sales skills, including the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals, are necessary for driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Team Collaboration: The ability to collaborate effectively with internal technical and sales teams to deliver customized solutions and ensure customer satisfaction is critical for success in this role.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing market conditions, customer requirements, and business priorities are essential for thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with internal teams
  • Driving licence: Full UK driving licence
