We are working with a Local Council to help find a Transport Manager to join their team where you will be working alongside other members of the Traffic Team. You will assist the successful delivery of the Service and oversee the Transport Team by using evidence to maintain a programme of improvements, such as road safety and traffic interventions.

Transport Manager Responsibilities and Experience:

• Lead the Council's team safely, effectively and sustainably including readiness of technical expertise
• To be an supporter for continuous improvement, ensuring best practice is utilised and excellent service provided
• Ensure the team are working efficiently and delivering their roles whilst providing specialist advice
• Be responsible for the teams budget ensuring that the council receives best value
• To represent the authority at meetings, developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships
• The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate an understanding and have managed a team delivering traffic improvement and road safety schemes
