Adept are delighted to be working with a reputable Manufacturer based in the Manchester area who supply heavily into Oil & Gas industries, due to growth within the company they are now looking to recruit a skilled Despatch Operative to join the team with a FLT license.

SHIFTS - Day Shifts - Monday to Thursday - 7am to 4pm & Fridays 7am to 1pm

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate the timely dispatch of products, components, and materials to various destinations, both internally and externally.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labelling of items for shipment, adhering to relevant procedures and quality standards.
• Utilise the Forklift Truck (FLT) to load and unload goods safely and efficiently, both within the warehouse and for outbound deliveries.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and transactions, ensuring consistency with system data.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to organise and optimize storage space for efficient material handling and retrieval.
• Process dispatch orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members and relevant stakeholders to provide updates on dispatch activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Prepare reports on dispatch activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics as required.

Experience/ Qualifications Required

• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license would be advantageous experience in operating forklifts.
• Previous experience in despatch, logistics, or a related role is preferred.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
