Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Oxford
Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Oxford. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components for our products.

In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals to develop innovative solutions that meet our customers' requirements. You will be involved in all stages of the product development process, from concept design to manufacturing and production.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing and prototyping mechanical systems and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software (Solidworks)
• Performing analysis and simulations to evaluate design performance and optimize product functionality
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure designs align with project requirements and specifications
• Supporting manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance and resolving any design-related issues
• Conducting tests and experiments to validate and verify mechanical designs
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of design iterations, changes, and updates

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the electronics industry
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and mechanical systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
