Saw Operator
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating saw equipment to cut various materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have mechanical knowledge, and the ability to weld, grind, assemble, and fabricate would be avantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Operate saw equipment to cut steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine cutting specifications.
- Set up and adjust saw blades, guides, and stops to ensure accurate cuts.
- Monitor the cutting process to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Qualification/experience:
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Able to read drawings.
- Problem solver.
- Able to utilise measuring equipment.
