We are seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer (Electrical) to take primary responsibility for delivering electrically biased Hard FM maintenance activities at our office locations in Hammersmith and St Paul’s.

Job Description

As Building Services Engineer, you will be the first response to hard service enquiries and will deliver a comprehensive and flexible electrical service to the contract.

Your responsibilities include managing compliance and maintaining on-site logbooks and registers, as well as overseeing subcontractor and key supplier management.

This role demands a multi-skilled professional capable of meeting the wide and varied requirements of the position although this role will be electrically biased.

Flexibility and support across all other service lines are essential, as you will be developing a true cross-skilling Workplace Experience service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct M&E PPM and reactive tasks within the agreed service levels and KPI’s
  • Liaise with subcontractors and key suppliers to ensure that planned maintenance visits are carried out in accordance with agreed service levels as well as arranging ad hoc visits as and when required
  • Supervise subcontractors and key suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes
  • Maintain the onsite Logbooks and eLogbook’s to ensuring they always remain up to date
  • Undertake regular building inspections, reporting and rectifying any defects and hazards
  • Prepare, review and adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks conducted to ensure safe working practices
  • Support the Workplace Experience team with the meeting room set up schedule

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Fully qualified City and Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical installation / maintenance
  • Experience operating within a high-quality office type environment
  • Effective communication, negotiation and analytical skills
  • A smart and presentable collaborator with excellent people skills
  • Ability to understand requirements and terms of policies and procedures
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Resilient and able to respond effectively to sensitive issues
  • Ability to draft and prepare reports and manuals
