Role: Maintenance Engineer

Shift: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights

Salary: £50,000 + O.T. 1.5

Location: Barking-Dagenham

Producing an annual turnover of just under £1 billion and securing placement on the London Stock Exchange, our client specialises in reviving and transforming common waste into reusable material. The company has put eight million tonnes of material back into reuse each year using the latest technology and highly automated equipment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working on shredders, cranes, optical sorting machines, magnets, conveyors, balers etc.
• Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance
• Fault finding on electrical components such as sensors, relays, contactors, three phase motors etc.
• Working mechanically on bearing, belts, pulleys, pumps, seals, rollers, shafts, hydraulics and pneumatics

About You

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following:

• A recognised engineering qualification
• A keen interest in handling continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment
• A willingness to work with autonomy, but also as part of a team on large-scale projects
• Proven experience in working with mechanical or electrical components
