As the Assistant Building Manager, you will assist in the smooth operation and maintenance of a 294,000 square feet mixed-use building, which was completed in 2017. This iconic 16-storey building, a redevelopment of a renowned commercial site, includes office spaces, retail units, and residential apartments, and is valued at over £300m
Job Responsibilities for an Assistant Building Manager:
- Day-to-Day Management: Support the Facilities Manager in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring high standards of service across all areas.
- Client Liaison: Work closely with a diverse range of clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Sustainability Focus: Help maintain the building’s high standards of sustainability and smart technology, contributing to its status as a cutting-edge, environmentally friendly property.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of any issues.
- Compliance and Safety: Assist in ensuring the building complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Administrative Support: Manage administrative tasks related to facilities management, including record-keeping and reporting.
Experience for an Assistant Building Manager:
- Experience: Proven experience in facilities management, particularly in mixed-use or commercial properties.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Technical Know-How: Understanding of smart building technologies and sustainability practices.
- Client-Focused: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a variety of clients.
