The Role:

As a Night Transport Planner, you will be responsible for orchestrating the smooth and efficient movement of goods and vehicles throughout the UK during night shifts. This pivotal position ensures that our transport operations run like clockwork, meeting client expectations and deadlines without a hitch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage vehicle routes and schedules efficiently, optimizing loads and reducing empty mileage.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure timely departures and deliveries.
• Monitor vehicle movements and driver activities in real-time, using GPS and other tracking systems.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to any logistical challenges that arise during the night shift.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
• Prepare and report key operational metrics to senior management.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in logistics and transport planning, preferably within a night-shift context.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers and other team members.
• Proficiency in using transport management software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications in transport or logistics management are a plus.
